Black Sheep Brewery with ICRTouch EPoS solutions

Black Sheep Brewery very happy with a multi-site solution

Based in the Borough of Harrogate in North Yorkshire, Black Sheep Brewery was established in 1992 and is owned by one of the most well-known Brewers in the UK.

Our Authorised Gold Partner, YN Payments, recently completed an upgrade on their ICRTouch software systems across the entire Black Sheep Estate, including hospitality and retail outlets.

The brief - multi-site capabilities

The Black Sheep Brewery team were familiar with the ICRTouch ecosystem of products, having previously worked with 1Call4 back in August 2019 for the initial installation. Since 1Call4’s rebrand to YN Payments, our Partner wanted to revisit the Brewery and improve their previous offering.

Black Sheep Brewery was looking to improve efficiency, which meant that all EPoS solutions were required to work across multiple sites, whilst giving reporting and management oversight from a single system.

The solution - upgraded hardware & efficient software

As well as reviewing the software provided to Black Sheep Brewery, the YN Payments team completed hardware updates across the entire estate.

“We supplied and installed all the hardware across the board within just a week. The Black Sheep Brewery team was happy with the fast and efficient turn-around.” – YN Payments

The brewery utilises TouchPoint for all their till terminals across both their hospitality and retail outlets. To further extend the productivity of this software, ByTable is in place to support the hospitality function, giving customers an intuitive solution to ordering meals direct to their tables, without having to stand in a queue.

To ensure the management team has access to the necessary business information and reports, a single TouchOffice Web account has been set up. This gives Black Sheep Brewery the chance to view performance of each individual outlet in one place.

The result - improved efficiency and happy staff

Yn Payments have received excellent feedback from the Black Sheep Brewery team who are happy with both the hardware and software that’s been installed. ByTable has helped them manage their music-based events which are held both indoor and outdoor at various times throughout the year.

The order-to-table solution allows customers to easily place orders via their own mobile devices. Not only does this improve the guest experience, it also makes things easier for staff, particularly during busy periods.

“We had our Apprentice Installation Engineer work on this install, which gave valuable insight into the runnings of our business and the hardware and software we provide. This install helped our Apprentice with their course and general knowledge in technical support queries.” – YN Payments

TouchOffice Web has allowed the Black Sheep Brewery management team to see takings, orders, stock levels and reports from their multiple sites in one account, improving consistency throughout the business. Additionally, with the staff becoming familiar with ICRTouch software and finding it incredibly easy to use, the customer service overall has improved in both quality and speed.

“We’ve been very happy with the capabilities of the ICRTouch products and service and support that Yn Payments have provided. Staff find the software easy to use and our management team enjoy the capabilities of TouchOffice Web to update their system from one place.”
