The Red Lion is an independent family run pub on the outskirts of Tamworth, overlooking the beautiful Coventry canal. The pub and restaurant, which employs in the region of 30 team members, serves approximately 3,500 covers every week to the main customer base of locals and tourists using the canal.

The brief - solutions to comply with new restrictions

The Red Lion initially introduced the ByTable self-ordering solution at the beginning of the pandemic, to allow their customers to effortlessly browse the menu from their personal device and to minimise contact between customers and staff.

After this working successfully, once the lockdown restrictions were relaxed, the owners wanted to expand their EPoS solutions to tackle the increased footfall they’d been experiencing. Their requirements consisted of multiple till terminals around the venue, an intelligent reservation system and the opportunity to run a range of customer loyalty programs to entice repeat custom.
