The brief - streamline processes and provide great service

The venue, located in the heart of London’s West End, is a world-class space that provides innovative facilities for events. With a variety of hospitality spaces and theatres within the venue, the redevelopment works were spread across five floors and the system needed to work effectively across all areas, whilst being managed from a central location.

From three kitchens, BAFTA 195 Piccadilly serves a range of menus from a la carte to standing reception snacks and seated dinners. To ensure the smooth management of orders between the front and back of house, the BAFTA team wanted to consider a kitchen display system to help them streamline processes.

As a finishing touch to the core EPoS system, customer facing displays, payment terminals and bespoke RFID cards for BAFTA members were also required.

The solution - a fully integrated EPoS system

The Gardiff team worked hard out of hours over just a single weekend to ensure BAFTA were ready to operate by Monday morning. The installation across all five floors included a series of 8 TouchPoint tills with customer-facing displays and integrated payment terminals. The customer-facing display screens at the tills are all fully branded to BAFTA and give guests the ability to view a breakdown of their orders in real-time.

All TouchPoint tills are integrated with TouchKitchen systems operating within the three kitchens which allow all food orders to be organised on a digital screen. Not only does this eliminate the need for paper orders and ticket printing, it also helps reduce mistakes and gives the kitchen teams complete control with preparation timers in place to ensure meals are always served on time.

The whole system is linked to the TouchOffice Web back office business management software which provides the management team with in-depth insight into the business performance.

The result - exceptional customer service

Gardiff and the ICRTouch ecosystem have played a big part in establishing the new BAFTA headquarters as a world-class venue, with multiple floors of flexible event spaces. The system now in place allows the front of house team to provide the exceptional levels of customer service that the venue is known for, while improving communications with the kitchen teams.

The management team are now able to view reports and sales data from their own devices using TouchOffice Web and are using the data to identify and resolve problems, find new opportunities for improvement and further streamline the business.

"With our complicated requirements, Gardiff’s set up, support and training was spot on. The system is easy to use, looks great and is flexible, adaptable and straightforward. Reporting was high on the list of requirements and the reports we need are clear, accurate and easy to extract. We highly recommend the Gardiff team who clearly understand the operating needs of a hospitality environment."
