vapourtrade.com first approached CCM EPoS when they were at the three store mark. At this point they had a variety of different touchscreen hardware across the stores. The current back office system wasn’t performing for them how they wanted and they were frustrated with EPoS all together. This was hindering expansion as without an accurate stock control system, there wasn’t enough control to move forward with the business. The challenge was to get everything back on track and show them how the right system really could “enhance your business”.
After several in depth meetings discussing system architecture and functionality, a completely new program of ICRTouch TouchPoint was installed into the first three stores. This made things a lot clearer and simpler for the staff to put through transactions. This also ensured that the information for head office was recorded in the desired way and left scope for adding additional products in a fast-moving versatile market.
The next stage was the back office. TouchOffice Web was installed across all sites. With its real-time polling, full stock control including branch transfers and drill down capability; CCM EPoS believed it really was the only solution.
Efficiency across the three stores increased instantly. Head office were always aware of the stock the stores required, which saved time phoning around and getting staff to count the shelves. Any discounts or transaction queries could be drilled down into from head office enabling an instant bird’s eye view of the estate.
Once the first three stores had settled, the current technology was expanded. HTML rear advertising displays were added to all tills to advertise current promotions and returns policies. The adverts are controlled via google slides and enable changes to be made from anywhere in the world. Credit card terminals were integrated into the EPoS system to speed up the average transaction time and remove miskeys on the pinpad.
Three more sites were then born using the same structured roll out plan. Hardware at the new sites comprise of:
• Varipos 715 – with TouchPoint installed
• 10” rear advertising display
• Thermal printer
• Cash drawer
• Credit card terminal
