Introducing the ICRTouch sponsored ability dog…Colin!

Our ongoing collaboration with Ability Dogs 4 Young People (AD4YP) continues throughout 2025! We’ve been working closely with the charity for years now, and as a result, we’ve received some very exciting news towards the end of 2024!

A new litter of Golden Doodle puppies were selected for training nearing the end of 2024; including an adorable pup, Colin – ICRTouch’s sponsored ability dog!

Colin CEO meets Colin the dog

We’ve been closely following the progress of the puppies and attended their first training session on the 27th November, where for the first time, Colin CEO met his namesake Colin the Dog!

Currently, Colin’s around 6 months old and according to his Puppy Parents, he is extremely affectionate and likes going to pubs and cafes to meet new people!

Colin attends training classes weekly at the AD4YP HQ here on the Isle of Wight, where learns essential skills, including; walking well on the lead, sitting, waiting, lying down and resisting temptations. He is expected to train for approximately 18 months before he’s ready to be placed with a recipient.

The most recent update we’ve had from the AD4YP is that Colin has had his first haircut. The team at AD4YP are certainly bowled over with Colin’s progress so far:

A couple of weeks ago, Colin went through a huge milestone….his first haircut! To say he has been transformed is an understatement! He is doing absolutely brilliantly. His Puppy Parent has said how amazingly he is doing with his training. He is such a caring pup and seems to gravitate towards people who he knows need a special Colin hug! He has really captured everyone’s hearts.”

ICRTouch takes great pride in working with local charities, particularly those empowering young people and therefore will continue supporting the amazing work AD4YP does.

We’ll be following Colin’s progress throughout his training, so keep an eye out for more puppy updates across the ICRTouch channels.

Our friends at Ability dogs 4 Young People (AD4YP) have recently visited us at the ICRTouch HQ. It was a great opportunity for the wider ICRTouch team to meet all the kind volunteers in person and get to know more about the important work they carry out first hand - and of course, meet ICRTouch’s sponsored ability dog, Colin.
Here at ICRTouch, we are always on the lookout for ways to improve our products and services. As a result, we’re happy to announce that, after a series of in house development tasks, we’ve significantly enhanced TouchPoint lite’s functionality. The industry-leading solution now offers more intuitive features than ever, giving you more flexibility to use the solution in an even wider array of environments.
