Another successful year at Silverstone for the British Grand Prix over the weekend. Not only did Hamilton bring in a home win, an ICRTouch Gold Partner, Gardiff Epos, provided the event with 35 TouchPoint tills and 32 short term rental chip and pin devices. These devices were installed inside the F1 Hospitality areas and merchandise stores. ICRTouch has supplied Gardiff Epos with point of sale solutions for their customers at Silverstone, Formula 1 British Grand Prix, for over 4 years now.

The event was full throttle with approximately 350,000 spectators over the three days, and more than 140,000 on Sunday alone, making it the biggest sporting event since the pandemic began.

The Government has announced a temporary reduction in the standard VAT rate of 20% to only 5% on certain children's meals, family attraction tickets and children's entertainment admissions between 25th June and 1st September 2026. The measure, introduced through HMRC's Revenue & Customs Brief 5 (2026), aims to help families manage the cost of summer activities while encouraging spending across the hospitality and leisure sectors.
