Cardiff Arms Park streamline match day operations with ICRTouch

Home to Cardiff Rugby in the heart of the Welsh capital, Cardiff Arms Park has been used as a rugby ground since the 1870s, with many of rugby’s biggest names having played at the world-famous stadium.

In order to streamline service and customer experience during high footfall periods, Cardiff Rugby reached out to a local Authorised ICRTouch Gold Partner, EPOS Systems, to implement robust and reliable solutions across the venue.

The brief - managing every step of the customer journey with robust systems

Cardiff Arms Park has an overall capacity for 12,125 people. The stadium consists of 8 public bars, along with a members-only clubhouse and retail shop, the management of which during match days can be a challenging task.

Cardiff Rugby were looking for a reliable point of sale system that could cope with the speed of service during match and event days. Therefore, they reached out to EPOS Systems, who attended the grounds and suggested the implementation of industry leading ICRTouch systems.

The solution - seamless service and access to detailed insight

In order to meet the needs of Cardiff Arms Park, the following solutions were implemented:

  • TouchPoint terminals

  • TouchOffice Web back-office management

  • EPOS Systems completed the installation in a single day and as requested, also relocated some of the till terminals around the venue, which was greatly appreciated by the customer. This relocation, alongside the faster software processing time has been assisting with smoother operations across the stadium.

The result - streamlined operations and potential for further expansion

The installed solutions not only resolved Cardiff Rugby’s initial point of sale challenges, they also provided the customer with comprehensive cloud-based management and detailed stock reporting which was previously unavailable to them. Cardiff Rugby were also hugely impressed with the membership loyalty scheme functionality offered by the software.

The one-day onsite installation by EPOS Systems, followed by full training, has been met with extremely positive feedback, and with the systems currently installed, Cardiff Rugby have the opportunity to seamlessly expand their range of solutions by implementing ByTable apps to manage memberships and SelfService kiosks to diversify revenue streams.
