ICRTouch donates £2,000 to support Sophie’s Legacy

The Sophie’s Legacy charity was created in memory of Sophie Fairall, a remarkable young girl who sadly lost her battle with cancer back in 2021. She touched so many lives and, whilst in hospital, wrote a bucket list of wishes that she wanted to be carried out on her behalf. The aim of this list was to improve conditions for children and their families during stays in hospitals.

One of the main priorities was to improve the food available to them whilst in hospital, as well as providing play specialists for children and improved parent care for those staying at the hospital for extended periods of time.

Donation to Sophie's Legacy from ICRTouch

The generous donation will be used to fund Sophie’s Saturday Night Suppers, which see pizzas delivered to families at St Mary’s Hospital in Newport, as well as providing snack boxes in every parent room and kitchen to support them and bring a smile to their faces during difficult times.

“We would like to say a HUGE thank you to ICRTouch for their incredibly generous donation. We have so many families struggling at the moment and this donation helps us to really make a difference when they have no one else to turn to. Quite often, children unexpectedly end up in hospital and parents have no access to food. Being able to grab a much needed snack or receiving a pizza on a Saturday night means the world to families in hospital. Thank you so much ICRTouch.”      – Hannah Stevens, Operations Manager, Sophie’s Legacy

This donation is the latest as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting local charities and good causes here on the Isle of Wight, particularly those that support young people. Our team recognises the important and influential work that charities such as Sophie’s Legacy provide amongst the local community and the profound impact they have on people’s lives.

“We’re proud to be able to support so many charities and good causes within our community and are happy that we’re able to help the Sophie’s Legacy team continue the incredible work they do here on the Isle of Wight to support children and families in need.” – Colin Ringer, CEO, ICRTouch
