The brief - a reliable, integrated event EPoS solution

The event management team required a new EPoS solution that would operate all the tills across every bar throughout the venue.

They wanted to be able to easily track sales across the entire event, from every outlet, rather than being restricted to individual, manual reporting for each bar outlet.

The solution - over 100 integrated, networked terminals

The event site consisted of approximately 20 temporary bars with a total of 80 temporary TouchPoint tills, in addition to 40 permanent TouchPoint till setups at surrounding venues, all with 100+ integrated Dojo payment terminals.

The event management team required instant live reporting access to gain an overview of sales hour-by-hour. With the previous system, this was not possible, but thanks to the installation of TouchOffice Web, management were given live records to view sales, income and more.

To solve the issue of stock tracking and staff management, TouchOffice Web and TouchPoint came into their own – allowing the Birmingham Pride team the ability to quickly access reporting and proactively make stock and staff decisions to tackle busy periods throughout the event.

TouchOffice Web was set up by the Smart Epos team over a 4g network, with each member of the management team as a user, accessing the top level reporting. Clerks were also set up for the event giving the event team the ability to track error corrects and cancelled sales through TouchPoint. The clerks were all able to utilise TouchPoint’s clocking in and out functionality too.

The result - streamlined service and improved customer experience

The Smart Epos team called upon their extensive experience and expertise within the hospitality EPoS industry to provide Birmingham Pride with an efficient, intelligent and reliable ICRTouch solution.

The Birmingham Pride management team benefitted from an integrated system that was able to keep up with the incredibly high demand of the event, ensuring efficient processes and levelling up customer experience.

“Having a reliable, strong network system of tills that could keep up with the huge demand throughout the event was essential.”
